A Wedding Breakfast in the Factory Shop

With wedding season officially upon us, our Factory Shop Manager, Jemma Baskeyfield was inspired to construct a bridal display in our Best Shop at Middleport Pottery. Using our elegant Pink Asiatic Pheasants pattern as the lead, Jemma created a beautiful floral display combining natural shades of pink, green and cream.

Jemma explains, with weddings and gift lists becoming an ever-popular service here in the Burleigh Factory Shop, I thought that late spring was the perfect time to craft a larger and more prominent wedding themed display. I using our Pink Asiatic Pheasants collection as a starting point as this delicate pattern lends itself very well to a bridal look.

We are lucky to know someone who very kindly created a stunning wedding dress for us to use within the display. I produced a beautiful garden scene, complete with a plethora of pink flowers around the dress, and an ivy clad swing which proved quite challenging to set-up – but we got there in the end!

This year, we have opened a record number of gift lists but have also seen a trend of wedding organisers looking for something unique to decorate the venue and feature on tables when planning a sophisticated wedding reception. This display aims to give inspiration to any Burleigh fans who may be looking for table decorations for their special day as well as timeless gift ideas.
