Burleigh Factory Shop gives our customers a unique opportunity to visit the heart of English ceramic manufacturing in Stoke-on-Trent. Housed in part of our working "Middleport Pottery," this historic site is home to the largest range of Burleighware in the world. New stock is carried over from our warehouses every couple of days, making sure there is always something different and interesting to find.
Our factory is currently undergoing major conservation work over the next couple of years, this is part of the project headed by the Princes Regeneration trust which will ensure Burleigh always has a home at Middleport pottery. Our Factory Shop will be open as usual throughout this period, and we will ensure customers still get to enjoy a visit to Burleigh. Parking facilities have moved to the car park across from our factory entrance and visitors are welcome to enter on foot though our factory archway, our old car park will be out of action for a while. As the whole project moves forwards we will keep customers updated on any major changes, and we aim to offer factory tours as often as possible ensuring everyone gets a chance to see all the changes going on at Middleport. Eventually all this investment and hard work will pay off and we will have a factory with even more to see and do.
An array of all Burleigh colourways and patterns both current and discontinued are always available and ever changing. We are famous for our large ranges of traditional blue and white patterns, such as bold Calico, and classical Asiatic Pheasant, a pattern in constant production by us since 1862. Also, we have many other delicate English Chintz patterns in mid and powder blues. Our stock extends to our patterns done in other colourways, such as red, pink, black and plum. We also have a contemporary and colourful pattern called Rosie's Hens, and a good stock of plain natural whiteware.
Our Factory Shop can offer the visitor everything from a fantastic seconds bargain, to the very latest ideas from our production team in the form of trial pieces. Often items available in the shop are exclusive to the shop, Edwardian shaped Jugs sit alongside elegant tureens and comports of the Victorian dinner table.
A warm coal fire and free coffee tea and biscuits, with polite friendly and efficient service for everyone, it is little wonder that customers come from all around the world, as well as from just around the corner! Often returning on a regular basis always sure of the warmest welcome.

Free Parking
We have ample free parking on our private carpark. Please note our private carpark is now opposite our main factory entrance on Port Street. This carpark is specifically for the use of all our factory shop visitors. Due to building works on our factory the usual carpark is closed at the moment.
Facilities and Refreshments
We offer all customers free refreshments in our Factory Shop. We have visitor toilets, but regret they are not suitable for wheelchair use.
Factory Shop Mail Order
We offer a mail order service of our seconds items. Please contact us by phone, and if we have the items you are looking for, in stock, we will be happy to mail them out to any UK mainland address. By car, we are about 3.5 hours from London, 1hour from Birmingham, Manchester, Liverpool and the East Midlands. By train it is about 1.5 hours from London Euston to Stoke on Trent. Taxis are available at Stoke station.

If you are unable visit us in person at The Factory Shop we do offer a personal touch to your mail order needs. All items are individually selected by the factory shop staff from our wide range of your favourite pottery including pieces that are not listed on our website. All of the items stocked in the factory shop are second’s quality and are subject to at least 35% off RRP.
We do sometimes have exclusive Factory Shop special offers on selected items that cannot be found anywhere else and we can arrange delivery across the world.
