Celebrating in Regal Style: World Gin Day, 2021

World Gin Day is upon us and Burleigh is here to help you celebrate with the help of Sixtowns Gin.

Behind Sixtowns Gin is a unique story of history & culture, distilled and perfected in every bottle – paired with the years of history behind Burleigh Pottery, it was a match made in the pot banks of Stoke on Trent willing to be told over a gin cocktail (or two!).

Sixtowns Gin began in the city of Rezekne, Latvia, where founding brothers’ Great-Grandparents began distilling from grain. The two brothers, Vitalijs and Alex, grew up watching their grandparents growing grain and using secret family recipes passed down from generation to generation to produce fine spirits.

In 1998, they moved to the heart of the country in Stoke-on-Trent and were inspired by the city and its rich cultural heritage. Made up of six neighbouring towns and renowned as the ‘World capital of ceramics’, the area's reputation for high craftmanship appealed to their sense of perfection. Here Vitalijs and Alex turned to their own heritage and began selling state-of-the-art Genio distillery equipment. Having served well over 100 distilleries across the country and armed with their extensive experience and industry knowledge, they combined their mutual love of gin with secret family recipes and set out on their mission to create an artisan gin that encapsulated the refined craftmanship of Stoke-on-Trent… Sixtowns Gin was born. Within one of the six towns, of course sits Burleigh Pottery at their home of Middleport Pottery. A stone throw away from Sixtowns HQ, and swathed in the same refined craftsmanship and adorned with heritage waiting to be told.

And what better way to celebrate two wonderful brands than with a cup of gin, or a gin cocktail perfectly ‘brewed’ in regal style?
