The Opening of The Ned

A much-anticipated launch for the city of London, The Ned is a new hotel and member’s club that boasts 9 restaurants, 252 bedrooms and a range of grooming services. Set in the refurbished Midland Bank in the centre of the city, The Ned maintains many of the original features of the building, including the jade green verdite columns of the former banking hall and the original 20-tonne door of the Vault Room alongside 3,000 of the silver safety deposit boxes. A grade-I listed building, it was first designed by Sir Edwin ‘Ned’ Lutyens in 1924 – inspiring the name of the hotel.

The Ned is the work of Soho House & Co and US Sydell Group who have partnered together to create a luxury, superior hotel that aims to cater for everyone. Whether you wish to enjoy a freshly brewed coffee or are looking for an overnight stay complete with stunning surroundings, opulent facilities and outstanding food, The Ned is the perfect place to visit.

Each bedroom takes inspiration from the twenties and thirties and is naturally designed in the sophisticated style of Soho House. As a proud supplier to Soho House, and with our striking Black Calico and Felicity ranges available exclusively from Soho Home, we were delighted to work with The Ned's designers on the Green Hibiscus collection. Smartly displayed within the bedrooms and within 'Millie's Lounge', one of the various restaurants in The Ned, Green Hibiscus is a bespoke collection of pottery that we have created especially for The Ned. As well as this special range, you can also find a number of our Lamp Bases within this beautiful establishment.
