Burleigh Pottery, Handmade for a Reason

Each piece of Burleigh pottery is made by hand. Established in 1851, we have years of experience and just as much passion, and we remain faithful to the time-honoured techniques that earned our ceramics a worldwide reputation.

We use unique crafting skills that are unmatched anywhere else in the world. Using copper rollers that have been intricately engraved by hand, our stunning floral patterns are printed onto tissue paper, which is meticulously applied to ceramics by Burleigh artisans, by hand. This allows us to achieve results that no other pottery can.

Burleigh ware is crafted from a unique blend of fine earthenware clay that ensures a luxurious look and feel as well as durability. This is all achieved at the renowned Middleport Pottery, the last working Victorian pottery in England and our home since 1889.

We offer a huge variety of tableware to buy online, from dinner plates and bowls to teapots and cake stands, allowing you to build a stunning matching dinner service that's perfectly suited to your needs. You can even find discounted Burleigh seconds here on the official store. UK and international delivery options are available.

You also have the option to purchase Burleigh crockery at our factory shop in Stoke-on-Trent and learn about our unique manufacturing processes on a factory tour.

Their combined skills meant that ‘Burgess & Leigh’ were set apart from the myriad of manufacturers in the area around this time.
